BOVEN DIGOEL, PAPUA — As a form of the corporate’s firm commitment to ensure the locals’ welfare, PT. Papua Argo Lestari (PT. PAL) had finished in building a unit of sanitary long house for the people of Guiss Village, Rawa Kasat, Boven Digoel Regency, Papua. Early September 2020, the management team of PT. PAL had also officially gifted this building to the locals.
This donation was done through the CSC Program (Corporate Social Contribution) of the corporate. This long house project which had started from 2019 was facilitated with 5 doors, each accommodated with a bedroom, bathroom, guest room, and kitchen–its size reached up to 200 m2.
Some representatives of the locals also attended the handover event and expressed their gratitude for this donation–one of them was Louis Walter Maikuin, Chief of the Maikuin Clan, who stated his appreciation for the corporate, “Deepest gratitude for PT. PAL that is always present to aid the people.”
Priest Eliezer Sikape said synonymous thing, and he also asked the people to help take care of this gift properly for the future generations.
On the same occasion, the General Manager of PT. PAL, Zoozang Park, explained that, “The corporate always pays attention for the people’s welfare–we wish for them to have a proper, safe, and comfortable houses.
